The Trails Society of British Columbia
WELCOME to the Trails Society of British Columbia’s website. We are a registered non-profit with charity status.
We have a mandate to assemble and preserve the British Columbian section of The Trans Canada Trail, as well as dedicate ourselves for the expansion, sustainability, and preservation of greenway trails in B.C.
Our mission statement is “Trails Society of BC dedicates itself for quality trail experiences for self-propelled recreation and active transportation for all ages and abilities on greenway trails in British Columbia.”
The Greenways for All research focused on reconciliation and equity related issues and recommendations regarding trails and active transportation including working to assist in addressing the lack of representation in the trails and active transportation.
Join the Movement
We invite you to be part of our grand vision for the Trans Canada Trail, our work on reconciliation and our quest for high quality greenway experiences for non-motorized trail users.

Reconciliation in Action
We are committed to taking action on reconciliation through the Indigenous Women and Youth Leadership in Access to the Land and Trails initiative that includes sməq̓ʷaʔ xeł – the Great Blue Heron Way and Tmixʷ Tours.
We also have several videos on our YouTube channel focusing on reconciliation and inclusion.
